is this?

Linked record selector

  1. Select the Table you would like to work with
  2. Select which Linked Record Field you would like to be automated
  3. Select Mode
    1. In this case, we’ve chosen Linked Record Selector
  4. Select which record from the linked table you would like to use
    1. This method will overwrite or append every record in the table with this value, so make sure that this mode is the one you will want to use
  5. Select Overwrite or Append
    1. Overwrite will replace all existing linked records with the selected linked record
    2. Append will add the selected value to all existing values in the selected field

Match to existing field

  1. Select the Table you would like to work with
  2. Select which Linked Record Field you would like to be automated
  3. Select Mode
    1. In this case, we’ve chosen Match to Existing Field
  4. Select which field you would like to match with the selected Linked Record Field
    1. The Primary Field type of the selected Linked Table will be listed below the selected table
      1. Based on the Primary Field Type, which field types are allowed to be matched will be noted below ‘Match to Existing Field.’ Selecting any other field type will show an error
    2. Blank values are ok
    3. Values can be updated while in operation
    4. Values must exist as records in linked table for this function to update linked record field correctly
    5. This method will overwrite or append the record associated with the selected field and no others
  5. Select Overwrite or Append
    1. Overwrite will replace the associated existing Linked Record Field with the selected value
    2. Append will add the selected value to all existing values in the associated Linked Record Field
